Sunoco says fluid catalytic cracking unit to be back to normal operations next week
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Oil refiner Sunoco Inc. said Friday that the fluid catalytic cracking unit at its Marcus Hook refinery is expected to return to normal operations by the end of next week.
The unit has been running at reduced rates for the last several weeks as a result of maintenance work, the company said.
Including other maintenance downtime experienced earlier in the quarter, Sunoco said it now expects systemwide crude unit utilization to be about 80 percent to 85 percent for the second quarter.
Sunoco shares fell 13 cents to $38.70 in aftermarket trading, after falling 92 cents, or 2.3 percent, to $38.83 in the regular session.
