Exxon sees 60 pct rise in Asia, Mideast chemicals business

NEW YORK, March 7 (Reuters) - U.S. oil major Exxon Mobil Corp. expects its chemicals business to raise its capacity in some regions by almost 60 percent in the next few years, a company executive said on Wednesday.
"We anticipate increasing capacity in Asia and the Mideast by almost 60 percent over the next several years," Steve Simon, senior vice president of downstream and chemicals operations, said at Exxon's analyst day in New York.
