BASF to Establish the World's Largest MDI Factory in Chongqing Municipality, Southwest China

BEIJING--(MARKET WIRE)--Jun 11, 2007 -- Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas). BASF Group, a multi-national chemical manufacturer and one of the world's top 500 companies, joins Chongqing Chemical and Pharmaceutical Holding (Group) Company (CCPHC) to invest in the world's largest methylene diphenylene diisocyanate (MDI) factory in Chongqing Municipality. MDI is used as the main material to produce polyurethane and it is widely used in architecture thermal insulating layers, automobile instrument boards and aircraft chairs.
