Description:

Responsible for the project, process, environmental and maintenance engineering functions at the polymer plant. Directly supervises the maintenance department. Acting Technical Manager for the plant, when Facility Technical Manager is absent. Shares responsibility for production and productivity improvement with the production managers. Assists the facility manager in managing and control of the capital and expense budget. Administers environmental and regulatory compliance programs. |
Requirements:
|
A degree in Chemical Engineering and a minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance management, total productive maintenance and/or predictive maintenance, or process engineering, to include design and process efficiency. Demonstrated experience in process safety management or other regulatory programs. Demonstrated ability to plan, strategize, set goals, develop the necessary action plans, and carry out the actions to achieve these goals, and all direct reports, to support the facility goals. Must be able to build and lead effective teams. Must demonstrate collaborative team building skills across functions. PREFERRED SKILLS: Project management experience/training. Familiarity with process control systems, recipe management, and field measuring devices. Experience in basic SPC, design of experiments and ISO/QS quality systems. Working knowledge of safety, quality, and SPC programs. Knowledge of polymerization chemistry. Ability to work with AutoCAD. |
