Description:

This is a plant leadership position in Plant Process Engineering to support ongoing business and manufacturing asset improvement activities through the application of process engineering and leadership skills. Activities include primary coordination and/or execution in these areas:
Significant changes in operations and optimization. Troubleshooting needs that require significant technical input. Productivity, EH&S efforts and product mix changes outside normal/historical operating capabilities other than new product introductions. Implementation efforts for all Operating Enhancements. Responsibility for technical efficacy of all physical changes to the plant including management of change and capital projects as related to these activities. Capital projects will be up to and including $3-5 million investments. Support of Process Safety and Environmental issues as necessary and primary coordination of Process Engineering issues related to OSHA PSM. The site is a multi purpose specialty chemical batch production facility. The facility makes ~ 50 different products at this site, all different chemistries. The facility is at capacity in most assets and product lines, growing rapidly and adding new products routinely even after the recent economic downturn. |
Requirements:
|
A degree in Chemical Engineering and 10-15 years minimum of chemical plant experience. Solid process experience with batch processing. Experience with amines is a plus. Ability to work in a hands-on environment in an operating plant. Ability to work in groups, interacting with plant operators and engineers. It would help if candidate had skills in hydrogenation and batch distillation.
