Description:

Responsibility includes the leadership and direction of the hourly union workforce, recruiting and training of associates, process efficiencies, process & project engineering coordination, and the implementation of all company policies and programs as directed by the VP of Manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Safety: Maintain plant operating guides, make regular improvements to them, and assure that training is sufficient so that all Associates comprehend these guides. Zero OSHA recordable injuries at the site.
Quality: Lead the plant quality program such that the site maintains a quality of production rate of 97% or greater.
Environmental Protection: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and Company policies/procedures so that the site has zero environmental releases, contamination, or complaints.
Productivity / Cost: Monitor all plant costs, and explain adjustments and variances. Equipment utilization greater than 85%. |
Requirements:
|
A degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of chemical plant management experience. Desired: 15 years of experience in same. Desired: Advanced Degree in Business or other certifications relevant to managing people and/or sites. |
