Description:

The incumbent will report to the Director, Engineering & Maintenance (E&M). In this capacity, he/she would represent E&M in planning and coordinating maintenance and construction activities with the production schedule; as well as work with other maintenance engineers and maintenance self-managed work teams to improve the effectiveness of E&M in keeping manufacturing, buildings and necessary facilities in satisfactory condition within an assigned area of the plant. Responsibilities include: maintaining the integrity of the preventive maintenance program for his/her area of responsibility, seeking means to reduce equipment maintenance cost and improve operating reliability, managing the process to complete repairs to equipment and facilities in assigned area, and managing small projects (capital and/or expense) within his/her area. |
Requirements:
|
A degree in Engineering with a preference for Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering and one plus years experience working in a chemical or pharmaceutical plant maintenance organization. Should have familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems and experience specifying and troubleshooting rotating equipment and using equipment reliability predictive technologies (vibration, thermography and ultrasonics). The incumbent must actively support, participate and embrace an empowered team culture with strong team building skills, including ability to provide training and motivate/empower others. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities as well as be goal-oriented, able to manage risks, and possess good verbal and written communication skills. |
