Description:

Plant hands on process engineering position. Person will be responsible for basic process duties; debottlenecking, troubleshooting, revamps, optimizations, modifications & other classical process engineering work. The bulk of the time will be spent on optimizing & improving new and existing processes, process improvements and process related projects. Provide technical support and troubleshoots processes to keep it running efficiently. Process Engineer will work closely w/ operators and production supervisors to get feedback on the operation. This position may also be involved with some design work for improvement projects. Work closely w/ production supervisors and operators to monitor processes. Work on improvement projects to reduce cost and improve efficiency of the process. Maintain a safe and sound environment. Work with Polymer Development, Sales, Technical Service, and Production to improve and/or develop new products (Polymer Process). Process technologies include: Centrifugation, Distillation, Polymerization, Filtration, Separation. |
Requirements:
|
A degree in Chemical Engineering with 3 plus years chemical industry experience. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills is a must. Must be sensitive to all safety and environmental aspects as relating to the manufacture and marketing of this product. Ability to work in a heavy team environment. Strong desire to understand the chemistry of this plant. Must be willing to work long hours. Ideally wants to see one with gas distillation experience or resins experience. |
