Description:

Safety and Environmental: Work safely and improve safety in the facility; participate in our safety programs; and develop and implement safe designs for process improvements. Lead HAZOPs, MOC (management of change) reviews and project safety reviews with a specific focus on PSM covered areas is expected.
Process Support: Process engineers may be assigned specific plant process areas (area engineer) or assigned to develop specific processes. Provide troubleshooting assistance to operations personnel. Write, update, and provide training on operating procedures. Provide on-going, systematic evaluation of unit operations (the process controls, instrumentation, equipment design, operator interface, maintenance practices, ergonomics, procedures) to improve process reliability, efficiency and quality. Identify and implement opportunities for improvement. Meet or exceed established Cost Improvement targets. Provide monthly reports on specific plant performance metrics, such as OEE and unit KPIs, and cost improvement project deliverables and status.
Project Support: Assist in developing technology (equipment tests, PFD, PID development), Process Engineering Packages for projects; review designs for completeness, assemble Capital Appropriation Requests, and implement start-up of installations. |
Requirements:
|
A degree in Chemical Engineering with 2 - 7 years in chemical or food processing plant. Someone out of continuous process in food or pharmaceutical industry would be ideal. This is a continuous, not a batch, process. Process control and data historian experience preferred. Experience in PSM-covered systems preferred. Creativity, Innovation management, Problem solving. Microsoft Office Programs. |
