SUMMARY: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading site plant maintenance, mechanical & electrical integrity, and reliability functions to deliver on safety, environmental, production, quality, and cost objectives while driving continuous improvement.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and maintains a culture where Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance is embraced and ensures 100% compliance of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Quality standards, regulations, and permits.
Leads by example and drives the behavior expected at the site to ensure all employees are aware and comply with those standards and our core values. Maintains an organization with a high level of competence, accountability, and ethics.
Ensures efficient operations of maintenance storeroom including stock management, parts rotation, and cost-effective purchasing leveraging corporate purchasing function as required.
Manages planning and execution of major outages.
Develops the strategies and priorities for the area that will best support the business competitive position in the future.
Ensures area processes, systems, and structures are operating effectively and efficiently to deliver results aligned with the business expectations. A change agent in the organization to effectively implement changes needed to improve the overall competitiveness of the area and site.
Manages fixed and variable costs to area budgeted levels and proposes corrective actions to unfavorable variances.
Justifies and reports potential capital expenditure projects to the CAPEX accountable role.
Updates the reliability strategy based on asset criticality.
Manages the predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Drives efficient and effective mechanical and electrical integrity and preventive maintenance programs.
Ensures employees have opportunity for growth and development to attain their career aspirations and maximize their potential, including 100% training requirement compliance, performance, and accountability. Leveraging cross training where applicable.
REPORTS: 3 direct reports.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field and relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical concepts including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Proficient with using Microsoft Office Suite.
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning, and decision making.
Experience leading a reliability centered maintenance program.
Proficient with predictive technologies and preventative maintenance.
