OVERVIEW: This position supports operations by executing Kaizen events and projects to achieve a dramatically improved future state that aligns with company goals and objectives. Trains, coaches and mentors others at all organizational levels to apply Lean, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement methodologies to improve processes and achieve Continuous Improvement objectives. Drives a Continuous Improvement culture by training, coaching and mentoring others in innovating processes for daily improvement.

Defines and assembles multi-disciplinary teams for the execution of Kaizen events, problem solving, and other projects throughout the business.
Ensures the completion of all preparation work necessary to support successful Kaizen events, problem solving, or other projects such as scheduling process downtime and securing support of other functions such as Maintenance and IT.
Defines and delivers appropriate training for Kaizen events, problem solving and other project teams that ensure team members have the knowledge required for project success.
Leads Kaizen events and other project teams in the implementation of Lean Enterprise principles throughout the business, its suppliers, and customers.
Provides Kaizen event and project follow-up to ensure achievement and sustainment of the required results.
Trains and coaches all organizational levels in the principles, tools, and practices of methodical problem solving.
Performs ongoing audits to ensure best practice implementation, and to find opportunities for improvement.
Actively pursues ongoing education in Lean Enterprise and continuous improvement principles through literature, courses, networking, and benchmarking.

REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Chemical Engineering with strong knowledge and experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement principles and methods through Kaizen events and projects.
