OVERVIEW: The Production Manager will lead Performance Chemical facilities. The Production Manager will need to have a determined spirit to Innovate, Create and Grow. This position is responsible for providing proactive leadership and motivation with focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost to exceed our customer's expectations. Responsible for ensuring all plant goals and objectives around key performance indicator (KPI) targets are met/exceeded by driving continuous improvements throughout the manufacturing process. The Production Manager is a key part of the Performance Chemical Leadership Team.

Direct management of two 24/7 chemical production plants in a safe, effective, and environmentally responsible manner:
High-temperature esterification, polymerizations, and mix/blend facility.
Surfactants alkoxylation facility.
Safety First - Cultivate "a zero-incident mentality" throughout the facility through employee engagement.
Provide direction leadership to the Asst. Production Manager, Production Engineer, Production Leaders, and Operators.
Provide guidance to ensure Maintenance, Planning, Automation, and Engineering is supporting production in the best way possible.
Effectively utilize all the resources available including operators, facilitators, engineers, R&D, Plant Support Teams, and external experts when required.
Plans, manages, and adjusts labor requirements and optimizes plant resources to meet scheduled production commitments.
Strive for continuous improvement to critical Site KPI's (Safety, Quality, Output, Cost, People) by analyzing the appropriate information and driving appropriate responses with a sense of urgency.
Passionate about completing deep-dive root cause analysis to identify the root cause, ensuring proper corrective actions are complete that eliminate recurrence.
Ensure the desired Safety/Product quality levels are achieved through adherence to standard work practices through training, application of the standard, and discipline when needed.
Change agent to encourage others to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the effectiveness of the operation.
Drive Culture Change - Lead root-cause elimination and data-based decision-making throughout the organization.

REPORTS: This position reports to the Director of Operations. This Production Manager is in charge of two plants. Plant 1 which includes flaking, mix/blend and reactor – total employees 15. Plant 2 Surfactants which includes 15 operators and 2 production leaders. Supervisors reporting to this role: One newly promoted Assistant Production Manager.

Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field with experience in chemical manufacturing and managerial experience.
Familiar with PSM, ISO 9001:2015, RC14001.
ERP software (SAP).
