SUMMARY: The Run Engineer serves as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical skills to safely execute the supply plan. The Run Engineer enables the safe and reliable production at a low cost that meets or exceeds the customer requirements. This role requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines to solve complex problems. The Run Engineer will also work closely with other individuals and teams to establish the production commitments, maintenance coordination, and conversion cost goals; within safe operating parameters and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with the operations team leveraging their problem solving skills and technical expertise.
Owns day to day production troubleshooting, leads cross functional team to address production issues.
Collects and categorizes lost production preventing the achievement of supply plan.
Monitors and collects yield, energy usage, and sustainability data to achieve cost conversion and sustainability metric goals.
Measure the performance of machinery uptime and maintenance bad actors to ensure reliable, low cost, high quality production.
Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies.
Act as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and execute the effective corrective and preventative actions.
Provide expertise in the diagnosis and optimization in plant raw material and utility usage, which may include yield or waste generation.
Responsible for validating and improving the technical skills of operations team members.
Support maintaining up to date and accurate standard operating procedures.
Understand site integration and provide input to optimize the manufacturing process.
Learn and apply continuous improvement, value creation, and financial acumen skills to accelerate profitability and low cost service of the facility.
Drive high levels of safety, quality, responsiveness, and reliability for the customer.
Develop operator and supervisor training programs.
Mentor new engineers in on site processes/technology.
Develop and maintain SOPs.
Lead or assist in RCA/CA to improve site HSE performance.
Maintaining/monitoring of key operating metrics.

REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Engineering.
Experience in Manufacturing and Engineering required; in the chemical industry preferred.
Certifications in Six Sigma (Green Belt, Lean) preferred.
