SUMMARY: The Process Engineer will maintain reliability and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers. The Process Engineer will identify, develop, and implement improvements to constantly improve site safety, process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.

DUTIES:
Provides support to the engineering department.
Verifies and tests assigned metrics on projects.
Enters test results into quality control database.
Identifies potential areas of product improvement; recommends and assists with development of appropriate solutions.
Ensures compliance with applicable company and client quality requirements in all assigned programs, functions, products, and areas.
Identifies and reports problems with specific processes or products to the respective teams.
Assists engineers in the development of new methods to improve product quality and process efficacy and efficiency.
Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.
Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.
Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
Supervises progress of development project.
Compares the actual cost of development project to estimates.
Collaborates with design group to change plans if problems arise.
Analyzes equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership and production.
Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
Collaborates with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.
Collaborates with project engineers from other plants to share problems and solutions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience as a Chemical Engineer preferably in production/process area of specialty chemical products.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Efficient time management skills.
Ability to read and understand manuals and maintain proper records.
Ability to collaborate with others and work independently.
Ability to identify key details.
Basic understanding of ISO-9000.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
